You probably hadn't considered adding fuel to your Christmas list. But in the programmes we support regular and reliable fuel is a life saver.
The gift can buy 50 litres of fuel which would cover approximately 900 Kms, a month's worth of work for an average health worker.
Motorbikes are cost effective and ideally suited to difficult terrain. They allow health workers to reach some of the poorest and most remote communities in sub-Saharan Africa. But without a regular and reliable supply of fuel a motorcycle is of no use.
Your gift could ensure a community nurse has the fuel they need to visit at least 10 villages. Nurses deliver medicated bed nets to prevent malaria, check and weigh babies, test for diseases and run vaccination clinics. The programmes we support supply health workers with vehicles and a package of support including fuel and maintenance, so they know that their motorbike will always be reliable and ready to go.

We are the official charity of MotoGP™ and it is with the incredible generosity of the racing teams, riders and the motorcycle community that we have been able to create a movement for good in the world of motor sport.
